Welcome to my blog!
I plan to post entries mostly on the following topics:
- Biblical studies and church doctrine,
- Websites and various technological gadgets that are relevant for a Christian,
- Music or movies of interest to Christians, and
- Interesting information that I just have to share…
Please let me know what you think and come back often to read the daily (hopefully) postings from the book The Diary of an Old Soul by George MacDonald. I am going through the book and editing it for the modern reader. When I finish, I may publish it, but you can see the daily entries here first!
To book a speech, please contact me directly:

May God bless you as you continue to search for Him!

Hi Joseph,
I accidentally stumbled upon your site when I tried to Google “difference between being open and being vulnerable.” I am doing a study on 2 Corinthians and how Paul built his relationship with the Corinthian church. I’m learning a lot about how Paul was trying to save his relationship with them by being open and vulnerable with his struggles in the beginning.
Thank you for your entry “Being Open is Not a Good Idea.” I struggle with being vulnerable too and have hurt people with the bluntness of being open. Your entry has given me a lot of insight.
I was just wondering, which church do you go to?

Thank you Lea! I’m glad the topic helped you as well. I’ve been learning since then that it is much harder to be vulnerable than open!
As far as a church, I am a member of the Austin Christian Church (www.austinchurch.net).

Hey compadre, can you preach at PCF this Sunday? What are your fees?

Very funny. No charge for preaching – just for speaking.
Except I might need airfare!
